Training objectives
- Acquisition of fundamental elements of developmental Neuropsychiatry with particular attention to disorders involving language and communication.
Prerequisites
- Knowledge of the physiological development of the child in particular as regards the evolutionary stages that are fundamental for interaction and social communication and language.
Course programme
- Areas of competence of Evolutionary Age Neuropsychiatry.
Organization of the pediatric and adolescent neuropsychiatry service of the AUSL of Ferrara.
The main stages of child development: motor, relational, cognitive, linguistic acquisitions.
The main changes in development that may involve communicative-linguistic skills: language delay / disturbance, sensory disability, intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorders, specific learning disorders.
Clinical assessment and integrated / multi-professional enabling project.
Outline of treatment of disorders of the developmental age involving the figure of the speech therapist. Didactic methods

- Oral exam: two or three questions on the topics of the course. Lasting on average 20 minutes.
