Training objectives
- GENERAL AND APPLIED HYGIENE
Achievement of the basis for the knowledge of the main risks for health. To develop prevention activity for maintenance public health. The prevention of chronic illness and association with the life style. To do planning about health education. Prevention and control of occupational and environmental risk for health.
BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (BLS)
To ameliorate the effectiveness and the efficacy of in hospital emergencies by the development of clinical scenarios based on the use of an advanced multifunctional mannequin. Prerequisites
- Basic knowledges in chemistry and biochemistry, physics, microbiology.
Course programme
- GENERAL AND APPLIED HYGIENE
Scope and methods of prevention. Epidemiology and health information. Population and public health. Epidemiology and prevention of viral, bacterial and parasitic infections. Vaccine, adverse reactions and controindications.
Hospital-acquired infection, principles and prevention. Disinfection and sterilization.
Occupational and environmental health control. The prevention of chronic illness.
Assistance-related infections. Work hygiene and of confined environments. Risk factors of major chronic-degenerative pathologies.
BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (BLS)
Management of clinical scenarios on cardiac, respiratory, metabolic and enviromental emergencies based on the use of simulators. Didactic methods

Learning assessment procedures
- GENERAL AND APPLIED HYGIENE
Written exam: multiple choice quiz with 16 questions. Correct answer: 2 points, wrong answer -1 point, no answer: 0 points. If all the correct answers = 30 and praise. Duration 30 minutes
BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (BLS)
Multiple choice test with 50 questions with four possible answers. Test duration 60 minutes. 0.6 points for each correct answer. 0 points for a wrong answer or no date. Test passed with 30 points.
