Training objectives
- The course is aimed at promoting the special features of the learning method to problems (PBL) and to test the ability to apply knowledge and understanding by using a detailed analysis of the subject under consideration.
Prerequisites
- None
Course programme
- The course consists of 8 hours lessons on the characteristics of PBL and 16 hours of application of the methodology.
PBL characteristics: history, reference theoretical principles, phases, roles, construction problems, the tutor and the student guide.
Facilitation: from teacher to tutor.
The evaluation of the tutorial session and learning.
Method-related exercises, construction problems and learning evaluation. Didactic methods
- Introductory lectures on the basic concepts of the PBL method.
Method of PBL subdivision with students in small groups. The methodology provides for mandatory participation in PBL sessions. Learning assessment procedures
- The final evaluation will be the average of the marks obtained in the following evaluation moments: a) presentation of two reports written on the content of the exercises; b) during the tutorial meetings will be assessed through direct observation with a grid divided into fields, learning ability, communication, interpersonal relationship and sense of responsibility of the student. In both the tests you must obtain a rating of 18/30 that will contribute to the final score for a 50% of the final evaluation.
