Training objectives

------------------------------------------------------------
Modulo: 23814 - FARMACOLOGIA
------------------------------------------------------------
The main objective of the course is to provide students with the knowledge about the main classes of drugs used in pregnancy. Further comprising the molecular events underlying the cellular effects of the drugs and teratogenicity. In particular, the study of some classes of drugs in specific diseases common in pregnancy and the basis of tocolytic therapy and inductive. Furthermore, the course will provide specific details on the main differences existing in gender pharmacology.
The main knowledge gained will be:
- General concepts of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics
- Mechanism of action of the main drugs used in pregnancy in the absence and presence of pathologies
- Childbirth analgesia, tocolytic and inductive therapy
- Gender differences in pharmacology with particular regard to the variables existing in pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics at different stages of a woman's life.
The main skills (the ability to apply knowledge acquired) will be those:
- possess in-depth knowledge of basic pharmacology, from the study of the path of the drug in the organism to the mechanisms of action and toxicity;
- possess knowledge about the cellular and molecular mechanisms of the drugs most commonly used in pregnancy physiological and/or in pathological conditions;
- have detailed information on gender pharmacology in the fertile age, during pregnancy and before, during and after menopause.

Modulo: 24441 - MEDICINA INTERNA
------------------------------------------------------------
GYNAECOLOGY AND MIDWIFERY
The course wants to make students able to frame the reproductive health of women in relation to general health . It allows
Knowledge of current legislation . of diagnostic and therapeutic protocols , and the general principles of the pathophysiology of human reproduction , particularly with respect to infertility and the sterility of a couple , as well as the main methods of assisted reproduction and the collaborative role of midwife in these areas .
The ability to apply knowledge relate to identification by collecting data care needs , education and health of the infertile couple , planning the care process of the infertile couple , and use effective interpersonal and communication strategies to support the infertile couple in the proposed course of treatment
INTERNAL MEDICINE
Attention devoted to diagnostic procedures (medical history, clinical examination, hematochemical and instrumental examinations) and therapy of some diseases of the cardiovascular system, also with reference to gender-oriented differences.

Learning assessment procedures

GYNAEACOLOGY AND MIDWIFERY SCIENCE AND MIDWIFERY
12 multiple choice questions that go to investigate the knowledge and three open-ended questions that go to investigate the ability to apply knowledge in health care and the organization. The time available is 2 hours .
Each question is given a score of 2 for assessment on 30/30 . If the test is insufficient the student takes an oral interview.
INTERNAL MEDICINE
The examination is written, online (Google Forms), with 30 multiple choice questions, with 4 possible answers each (1 correct only), to which 1 point must be attributed for each correct answe, and 0 points for each wrong or undeclared answer. Positive evaluation; score equal to or higher than 18/30 points. In case of correct answers 30/30, ‘cum laude’ score is awarded. Allowed timeTime: 30 minutes (1 question/1 minute).
PHARMACOLOGY
The objective of the exam is to verify the level of achievement of the previously indicated training objectives through the preparation of a project work on one of the topics covered.
THE FINAL GRADE IS A WEIGHTED AVERAGE OF THE MARKS OBTAINED IN EACH TESTS.
