Training objectives

The course is aimed at the acquisition of specific knowledge and tools that put the student in a position to accompany the couple to a conscious parenting.
To develop the student's ability to promote the health of pregnant women through an educational process of information and support offered to women, their partners and their families, to help them in the transition to parenthood and make informed choices based on their own needs and values and promote the health of the newborn.

Prerequisites

Knowledge about the physiology of pregnancy

Course programme

History of the obstetric psychoprophylaxis. RAT (autogenous training Respiratory).
Methodology and organization of an accompanying course at birth in the light of the regional regulations.
Conductor role - the group dynamic
Analysis of the efficacy assessment of accompanying birth Courses
Understanding the purpose of the exercises: (perception of the body, arms stretching and column drain lymphatic drainage by the arms, relaxation)
Perform simulated thrust second stage
Knowing a kind of breathing in labor (prodromal period, dilation, expulsion)
Demonstrating the exercises in different postures and run by students

Didactic methods

Interactive lectures conducted with the help of representative images of the individual technical proposals practical activities.
Presentation of teaching materials used for an accompanying course at birth ( agenda, information material provided).

Learning assessment procedures

Theoretical knowledge is verified through group work that have the objective of creating billboards. This material will then be used by the student to actively cooperate in the conduct of a meeting to the accompanying course at birth, with its oral presentation.
Practical skills are tested through the application of the inspection record / frequency published in the "teacher's page"
The student, during attendance, previously agreed at the Center Women's Health AUSL Ferrara, will be able to actively participate in taking charge, planning and implementation of social and health interventions offered by the Women's Health Centre for the birth Accompanying courses.
The Midwife tutors at which the student is assigned to verify the learning experience appropriateness.
