TRAINEESHIP
General objective: to orient to the profession oh Health Technician of medical Radiology, identifyng the professional skills. Must know the role of TSRM in the various operational contexts (traditional/CTdiagnostics, operating rooms.) The student must be able to apply the experimental method to the study of human and technological phenomena relevant to the profession, demostrating that hi i able to use it for the purpose the fundamental principles of physics, biophysics and computer science applied to the technological problems of diagnostic imaging. The student must also know the anatomy and radiographic anatomy of the different structures as well as the morphological-functional aspects of the various human systems. At the end of the first year, the student must be able to put into practice the professional skills acquired and perform basic radiographic projections.

PROFESSIONAL LABORATORY
KNOWLEDGE: learn the history of the Medical Radiology Medical Technician, recognize the working fields of the profession.
SKILL: students will recognize those that are diagnostic techniques related to radiodiagnostics, applying diagnostic reasoning in the acquisition and relative visualization of radiographic surveys and projections of the human body.

The traineeship represents the student's first experience in the health sector, it takes place in health facilities affiliated with S.S.N. mainly AOU and AUSL of Ferrara, but there is the possibility of being able to carry out a small hourly share of training activities in the area of origin by agreeing with the Director of Didactic Activities.
In particular, the internship in the first year takes place in Radiodiagnostics in order to:
- Know the department, observe how the work takes place;
- Interact with the operators involved in the diagnostic process, with the internship guides in compliance with the organizational hierarchy and with a view to teamwork.
- Acquire the first knowledge and skills of radiological techniques.
- Take care of patient safety in compliance with the specific Deontological Code.
An indispensable prerequisite for accessing the internship in person is the performance of the online course for safety in the workplace with low risk and production of the certificate of passing the test. In order to access the internship, the student must have carried out the ideal examination and comply with the requests of the occupational medicine doctor, furthermore a further examination and blood count to be carried out at the authorized doctor responsible for medical surveillance of workers exposed to ionizing radiation.

Analysis of the Code of Ethics, training in the use of RX equipment, check the functionality of the equipment. Prepare the diagnostic room with respect to the radiological examination to be performed. Manage the quality control of the image and equipment. Acquisitions of investigations and basic radiographic projections. Critical analysis of the radiograms, interpret the anatomical parts in evidence by describing the technical and methodological measures applied in order to obtain a specific radiological image. Critically analyze the radiological request by formulating a radiological technical work plan consistent with the clinical question and realistic with respect to the patient's characteristics and medical indications.

ENGLISH
The course is divided into two parts: 14 hours will be devoted to grammar explanations and exercises of some specific structures most-commonly used in the medico-scientific field at B1 level.
In the second part of the course, 22 hours will be devoted to the reading, comprehension and translation of specialised medico-scientific texts. Lectures will be conducted in English. A communicative approach will be used in order to encourage active student participation in class. The teaching methodology includes both lectures as well as class exercises. Written and practical exam on the topics of the first year. Passing the final test relating to the university course on safety in the workplace.
The evaluation of the first semester is combined with that of the second and with the various related courses.
The overall evaluation also considers the ratings received from the internship guides who assisted the student in diagnostics during his / her career as a percentage. This evaluation form is shared by the Director of Educational Activities at the beginning of the year with the students and aims to collect an opinion on the merits of the internship guide about the skills demonstrated.
LABORATORY
Written formulated as multiple choice questions, with 20 questions (weighing 1 point if correct), 5 open questions (weighing max 2 point), consistent with the main contents of the workshop program. The expected time is 60 minutes. To pass the test you must score 18 points.
ENGLISH
WRITTEN EXAMINATION. The exam is divided into two parts (Part A and Part B). The pass mark is 18 (average between the two parts). Grammar books and dictionaries are not allowed.
Part A: Grammar exercises at B1 level.
Part B: Reading of a specialised text, vocabulary and comprehension exercises.
Each question is given 1 point if correct; wrong or no answers 0 points. Students are allowed 1 hour for the exam. Reference texts
