Training objectives
- The purpose of the teaching is to provide the elements of mechanics useful for the design and definition of fitness machines and training tools. The course analyzes the methodologies and procedures for the functional design of the main machinery / components used for fitness, with particular reference to electrical machines, transmission organs applied to assisted motor activity, devices to promote sports gestures with joint overloads.
Prerequisites
- None
Course programme
- The program is divided into two macro blocks. Part 1 deals with the main fitness and rehabilitation machines from a mechanical and movement analysis point of view. Part 2 deals specifically with the mechanical components underlying these machines, describing their design characteristics, constructive and geometric choices.
Part 1: Functional design / definition of mechanical characteristics / definition of the basic components of fitness and rehabilitation equipment (treadmills, bikes, ellipticals, rowing machines, lifting machines); exoskeletons.
Part 2: Transmission of motion by means of hoses (belts, chains, ropes, toothed wheels); Construction types of electric motors, reducers, clutches, brakes, transmissions for fitness machines. Didactic methods
