Training objectives
- The course aims to shed the light on the world of scientific research and to open the students a window onto a scientific publication analysis. The course will start from the basic rules of a research project (e.g. a Randomized-controlled trial) to end up on their final thesis.
The course aims also to give students the necessary knowledge to build up and lead a research project both in academic and professional settings. Prerequisites
- Knowledge of basic informatics and statistics procedures. Knowledge of English language
Course programme
- The program of the course starts from an introduction of the world of scientific research, analyzingthe different project designs.
The course will also give students practical instruments for the composition of their thesis. Introduction, Methods, Results and Discussion sections will be analyzed.
Finally the course will give students information about the continuous updates of their profession. Didactic methods
- Frontal theoretical lessons
Learning assessment procedures
- 31 multiple choice questions. Each question has 4 possible answers, with just one correct.
Total duration of the test: 30 minutes.
Evaluation: 1 point for each correct answer; 0 points for every missed or wrong answer. Reference texts
