Training objectives
- Provide students with knowledge on body composition and methods of its evaluation from the point of view of applications, with particular reference to the study of specific population groups. At the end of the course the students will be able to assess body composition of a subject with skinfold or impedance method.

Course programme
- Direct and indirect methods for the determination of body composition with particular reference to the principles, assumptions, limitations and applications of the techniques: plicometrica and body impedance.
Body composition in relation to sex, age, ethnic group and level of physical activity.
Practical determination of body composition by anthropometric methods and impedance method and organization of research on body composition. Didactic methods

Learning assessment procedures
- Oral exam: on average 4 questions on various topics lasting 20-30 min (the completeness and clarity, use of specific vocabulary will be taken in consideration).
