Training objectives
- Aims of the course are:
Acquisition of theoretical / practical skills, functional analysis of the elderly or those with chronic stable pathology, aimed at the formulation and supervision of appropriate and personal training programs.
Acquisition of the lexical bases, and of the skills needed to work with the medical staff that manages the clinical picture of the customers
The knowledge of the regional pathways created to prescribe and administer physical exercise. Prerequisites
- Adequate knowledge in: cardiovascular / respiratory adaptations to the physical exercise; methods of functional evaluation and fitness in relation to health; planning and development of sitting of physical activity suited to subjects in different age groups.
Course programme
- Introductory notes and explanation of the examination of assessment of learning.
Exercise therapy, Adapted Physical Activity and Adapted Physical Exercise: meaning and objectives.
The role of the degree in Sports Science and the specialist degree in Sports Science
Evidence Based Practice
Managing the relationship with the user, at different stages envisaged from the iter: taking charge and administer physical exercise, with particular attention to teamwork consistent with the purpose of exercise for patients with chronic sports-sensitive diseases
Organizational arrangements for the administration, with a tutor, of the physical activity prescribed among different patient/client populations.
Monitoring / supervision of long-term programs of Adapted Physical Activity and Adapted Physical Exercise.
Case report (long-term monitoring of patients with chronic diseases)
Efficient communication with the medical staff prescribing and interpretation of the medical report.
Strategies to maintain adherence to the proposed work program.
Experiences in subjects with chronic diseases: Case report series Didactic methods
- Lectures and practical activity. Visit to the partner company “Palestra Sicura”
Presentation with the aid of Slides Kit and interactive methods. Practical exercises. Learning assessment procedures
- The aim of the examination is to evaluate the level of achievement of the learning objectives.
The written test includes 30 multiple choice questions, covering all the topics of the course. Each question includes four possible answers of which only correct, that is: 1 point for a correct answer; 0 points for a wrong answer or no answer.
The time allowed for the test is 1 hour. It is not allowed to consult texts or use PCs, smart phones, calculators, or other electronic devices.
