Training objectives
- GENERAL AND SOCIAL PEDAGOGY
The course aims to provide basic knowledge of pedagogy, pedagogy of sport and encouraging the design and the implementation of educational strategies in sports.
GENETIC OF POPULATIONS
The aims of the course is to provide knowledge and basic concepts of DNA, chromosomes and genes considered as "genetic material" necessary for the transfer of the information during generations in a population. In addition, themes concerning the association between inherited characters (genotype) and observed characteristics (phenotype), both as a characteristic of different traits in a population and as an inherited disease, will be dealt with.
Finally, the mechanisms of action of natural selection and the study of the structure and history of the human population will be addressed. Prerequisites
- Basic concepts of general biology (during the course the basics of biology and genetics will be provided).
Course programme
- GENERAL AND SOCIAL PEDAGOGY
Introduction of the concept of pedagogy, the link between pedagogy and sport, the birth of the sport pedagogy, sport pedagogy applications in specific areas, the distinction between education and bad education in sports, gaming, sports educator (coach), methods of intervention in the various age groups and in various sports.
GENETIC OF POPULATIONS
Structure and function of nucleic acids (DNA, chromosome, gene)
Organization and evolution of the human genome
Principles of genetic variability
Models of monogenic and polygenic diseases
Evolution and Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium
Ethics and social impact of DNA study Didactic methods
- Lectures, participative observations, read and comment on movies.
Learning assessment procedures
- GENERAL AND SOCIAL PEDAGOGY
Written examination 50 minutes: 15 closed questions, open questions 5 and resolution of a case assigned.
Currency understanding of the fundamental aspects of the discipline and the ability to be able to apply the concepts studied in real situations.
GENETIC OF POPULATIONS
The exam duration is 60 minutes. Written examination consisting of 31 (thirty-one) multiple choice questions covering the whole programme topics. Each question has 4 or 5 (four or five) answers of which only one is correct. The score of right answers is 1 (one). Not answered questions or wrong answers are considered as 0 (zero). Minimum score to pass the exam is 18 (eighteen).
THE FINAL GRADE IS A WEIGHTED AVERAGE OF THE MARKS OBTAINED IN EACH TEST. Reference texts
