Training objectives
- The main objective of the course will be to give at the students the instruments which are useful to learn knowledge and skills about visual function, ocular motility and visual-perceptual ability relating sports activity.
The main acquired knowledge will be:
anatomy and physiology of visual function and refraction, binocular vision, latent and manifest squint, ocular motility, correlation bethween vision, posture and balance relating sports activity.
The main skills acquired will be:
to identify the visual training method which is helpful to upgrade the visual ability in the sports performance. Prerequisites

- The module forecasts 36 hours of frontal lectures:
anatomy and physiology of vision
elements of visual apparatus
visual function
blurred vision and refraction
maino cular pathology
therapeutic problems of ocular pathology
elements of sensorial visual apparatus: binocular vision normal and abnormal
study of modification of binocular vision
latent and manifest squint
posture anomalies related vision
visual function and sports
visual training method useful to upgrade visual skills in the sports performance Didactic methods
- Frontal lectures
Learning assessment procedures
- One oral section of 20 minutes, where the ability of linking different subjects related is evaluated, rather than the ability of “repeating” specific topics tackled in the course.
