Training objectives
- GENERAL AND SOCIAL PEDAGOGY
The course aims to provide basic knowledge of pedagogy, pedagogy of sport and encouraging the design and the implementation of educational strategies in sports.
DEVELOPMENTAL PSYCHOLOGY
To present, having as a reference classical developmental theories, recent models which try to describe and explain the human psychological development. To transmit the basic knowledge necessary in understanding psychological analysis of development. To discuss methodological problems concerning the study of development. Prerequisites

Course programme
- GENERAL AND SOCIAL PEDAGOGY
Introduction of the concept of pedagogy, the link between pedagogy and sport, the birth of the sport pedagogy, sport pedagogy applications in specific areas, the distinction between education and bad education in sports, gaming, sports educator (coach), methods of intervention in the various age groups and in various sports.
DEVELOPMENTAL PSYCHOLOGY
The course is focused on the scientific understanding of age-related psychological changes throughout the lifespan. The aim of Developmental Psychology is in fact to discover, describe and explain how development occurs from its earliest origins into childhood, adulthood and old age. Understanding human development requires considering the diverse effects of nature (biology, neurophysiology) and culture (family, society) on the developing child. The most important developmental theorists are introduced to provide a background to the current contemporary research and to the modern synthesis of nature and nurture (Dynamic Systems Approaches). - Lectures, participative observations, read and comment on movies.
Learning assessment procedures
- GENERAL AND SOCIAL PEDAGOGY
Written examination 50 minutes: 15 closed questions, open questions 5 and resolution of a case assigned.
Currency understanding of the fundamental aspects of the discipline and the ability to be able to apply the concepts studied in real situations.
DEVELOPMENTAL PSYCHOLOGY
Written exam (90 minutes): 10 open and 20 closed (multiple choices and true/false) questions. It assess the knowledge about the fundamental characteristics of the discipline and its impact in education.
The final grade is a arithmetic average of the marks obtained in each tests. Reference texts
