Training objectives
- The course aims at providing the student basic knowledge and skills to manage and conduct individual and collective programs of the most common fitness trends to promote and maintain active lifestyle among individuals of different age and functional capacity.
Prerequisites
- Basics of anatomy and morphology, applied biochemistry and physiology, nutrition, health psychology, exercise testing and training in different age groups and fitness level.
Course programme
- Worldwide fitness trends in the commercial, corporate, clinical (including medical fitness), and community health fitness industry to further promote physical activity. Coaching, theory and technique of general principles for improving health-related and performance-related cardiorespiratory fitness, muscular strength and endurance and flexibility; High Intensity Interval Training; Functional training; Fitness groups; Aqua fitness; Pilates; Weightlifting and Powerlifting; Personal training.
Didactic methods
- Lecutres (frontal and on-line) and practical sessions at different facilities.
Learning assessment procedures
- Written exam consisting in 31 multiple-choice questions (4 options for each questions), related to the topics covered during lectures and practical sessions. 1 score for each correct answer. No penalties for undelivered or wrong answers. The final grade will be determined by the number of correct answers (value out of thirty). A minimum score of 18 will be requested to pass the examination.
