- By participating to both seminars and field activities students will acquire the basic information on the methods applied in field archaeology.

- Brief history of the discipline. Conservation of materials with respect to depositional environments. Field prospecting techniques. Techniques of excavation, documentation and survey. Field practice of excavation, documentation and survey.
