A NEW COURSE FOR THOSE LOOKING FOR A NEW WAY INNOVATION TECHNOLOGIST

A highly qualified training course with two important goals:

  • to guarantee a  rewarding job for young people and to promote
  • the creation of professionals able to contribute to a company's growth.

Training and an industrial culture are in fact the key elements required to meet the demands and the continual search for innovation in the industrial world in Emilia-Romagna. A territory which boasts an excellent industrial reality both nationally and internationally: avant-garde companies with a solid industrial culture.

A response to the innovative needs of companies and creating a connection between the worlds of education and learning and that of research and industry: these are the goals of Programma Quadrifoglio.

Degree in Innovative Physics Technologies

The degree is particularly designed for students with a scientific/technical background, providing them with the opportunity to complete their studies with a highly professional degree through:

ON-SITE SUBJECT

Some subjects will take place on-site in one of the local companies supporting  the Program
under the supervision of a tutor and the
relative credits will be accredited.

SECOND YEAR

  • Mechanical Production Tecnology 150 hours (6 credits)
  • Logic of Services and Documentation 150 hours (6 credits)

Total 300 hours

 

THIRD YEAR

  • CAD CAM Design II 150 hours (6 credits)
  • Provisions and Technologies of the Industrial sectors 150 hours (6 credits)
  • Quality Testing and Control Systems 150  hours (6 credits)
  • New Materials and  New Technologies 150 hours (6 credits)

Total 600 hours

POST GRADUATE PROSPECTS

An Innovation Technologist has ahead of him/her excellent job possibilities in companies of manufacturing world.
After the degree, it is possible to spend a year specialising at an international research centre.

The Programma Quadrifoglio, through  the annual Forum on  innovation R&D Days cooperates with important centres among which include:
AIR LIQUIDE, APTANOMICS, ASCAMM, BATTELLE, BIOTRAY, CERN, CNRS/ENS, CRANFIELD UNIVERSITY, FRAUNHOFER, FLUOREM, GENERAL ELECTRIC, ITC-irst, INFN, MIT, PERA INNOVATION, QINETIQ, RAPRA, RBI Instrumentation, STEINBEIS, TECHNISCHE UNIVERSITAT MUNCHEN.

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE DEGREE

The Degree in Innovative Physics Technologies combines university learning with technical training and industrial culture.

Closed Number: there are 40 places open for this degree at present

Access to the course is through an aptitude test, scheduled for September at the University of Ferrara
A university environment especially adapted to promote a profitable student-teacher rapport

The first year of the course is the same as that of Physics and Astrophysics.

In the second year some lessons will be held in the company by teachers and company tutors,and the student will be remunerated for this period of work/study

The work/study period will take place in companies in the sectors of automation, mechanical engineering, electronic engineering, packaging, mechanical and mechatronic applications.

WHERE YOU DO THE DEGREE

The training sessions and workshops will be held at the Polo Scientifico-Tecnologico at the University of Ferrara (a 10 minute walk from the railway station).
