Training objectives
- The course provides to the students the basic knowledge of analog electronic, starting from simple components like resistors and capacitors to more complex devices like operational amplifiers.
The skills acquired in the first part of the course are then applied and verified in laboratory where they build some simple electronic circuits.
The students will also learn how to use very important devices like the Oscilloscope, the Function Generator and the Multimeter. Prerequisites
- Basic skills of analysis
Course programme
- Fourier Transform, complex numbers, main bipols, Ohm's law, Kirkhhoff and Thevenin theorems, Impedances, Filters and their Transfer Function, Bandwidth,
Compensated Voltage Divider.
Amplification: basic principles, the Operational Amplifiers and their main applications Didactic methods
- Theoretical/practical lessons.
Learning assessment procedures
- Understanding of analog circuits will be evaluated with student's reports of experiences done in laboratory during the course.
Knowledge of theory and understanding of real circuits will be evaluated with written and oral exams. Reference texts
