Training objectives
- -To know some topics of Mathematics Education today.
-To know the specific problems of the teaching of mathematics in secondary schools.
-To know the secondary school mathematics National Guidelines.
-To know some of the best methods and technologies for teaching mathematics in secondary schools.
Skills acquired at the end of the course:
-Design some teaching math lessons for secondary school.
- Know how to use methodologies and technologies for teaching mathematics in secondary school.

- The 48 hours are divided into hours of lectures held by the teacher and hours of seminars, where each student presents a paper, in the form of teaching lessons, for secondary school.
Theoretical introduction to the main themes of Mathematics Education. With reference to each theme, didactic practices, references to National Guidelines and widespread difficulties will be analyzed. The 28 hours will be divided as follows:
- Review of basic elements of mathematics education. (2 hours)
- The role of language in learning mathematics. (4 hours)
- The assessment in mathematics. Formative assessment tools and techniques in mathematics (6 hours)
- Intuition, reasoning and proof. Analysis of student papers in the written test of the State Exam (6 hours)
- The theory of figural concepts. (4 hours)
- The role of technologies in mathematics education. (6 hours)
Design and construction, with discussion in a seminar format, with some teaching units of Mathematics for secondary school (grade I and II). (20 hours)

- Tools: textbooks and other aids.
- Use of technology in mathematics education.
- Assessment of learning in mathematics. Didactic methods

- Design and guided discussion of mathematics teaching papers. Learning assessment procedures
- - Writing and discussion of one mathematics teaching paper
- Written exam.
The rating is determined by adding the score (maximum 15 points) assigned to the mathematics teaching paper and the score dedicated to the written exam (maximum 15 points). Reference texts
