Training objectives
- Students will acquire linguistic, communicative and cultural competence in written and oral German close to level A2/B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference. They will develop written and oral comprehension and production skills through the in-depth study of the morpho-syntactic and lexical structures of the German language.
At the end of the course the student will be able to understand the key points of familiar topics concerning school, leisure time, etc.. He/she will be able to interact in situations that may occur while travelling in the country whose language he/she speaks. She will be able to produce simple texts on topics that are familiar or of personal interest. He/she will also be able to express experiences and events, dreams, hopes and ambitions and briefly explain the reasons for his/her opinions and plans. Prerequisites

Course programme
- The course consists of language exercises, held by native speakers, which will aim to develop students' skills in the main phonological, morphological, syntactic and semantic aspects of the German language and to practise oral and written comprehension and expression skills.
In the second semester, the theoretical module held by the lecturer in Italian will explore various aspects of German language culture. Didactic methods
- Interactive and frontal lessons, practical exercises (individual work and in groups, taught by a mother-tongue trainer)
Learning assessment procedures
- The written and oral examinations will take place in the official appointments starting in June 2023.
For FREQUENT students ONLY, there will be a partial written examination which, if passed, will give direct access to the oral examination without the need to take the written examination.
Written test: Grammar exercises, written composition of 100 words and "Leseverstehen".
Oral examination: The oral examination consists of an interview in Italian on the culture module held by the course lecturer and a short conversation in German with questions on the reference volumes. Reference texts
