Training objectives
- The course aims to make students familiar with topics and themes regarding film history and aesthetics through an in-depth study of works made by appraised and significant film directors.
Learning Outcomes: The students acquire a full knowledge of specific periods, of outstanding figures or of definite matters concerning the history of film, both classic and contemporary.
Abilities: The students acquire the capacity to analyse cinematic works both in their structures and topics, and in their historical contexts. Prerequisites

- THE CINEMA OF FEDERICO FELLINI
Didactic methods
- In-presence lessons, supported by the use of Power Point presentations and the screening of film scenes.
Full screening of 10 films (one per week) on the course (see filmography). Learning assessment procedures
- The final exam will be a written test. The questionnaire consists of 18 closed questions (multiple choice or true/false) and two questions with open answers (max 150 words each). The closed questions will be assessed 0 if wrong and 1 if correct. The open questions will be assessed with a minimum of 0 points (totally incorrect or missing) to a maximum of six (excellent). The questions will be referred both to the book in the syllabus and to the topics dealt with during classes. They may also be related to the films included in the filmography.
