Training objectives
- Level B1 - understand the main points of messages on familiar topics - knows how to produce simple and coherent texts - is able to describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes and ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.
KNOWLEDGE: descriptive texts, narrative, on current issues expressed in standard language. Stories, songs, short articles and reviews. Structures and characteristics of the main genres and text types. written and oral texts that present aspects of daily and cultural life.
SKILLS: Understand globally and selectively written texts of different types. Understand oral and written texts. Produce oral and written texts of different types and kinds. Translate simple phrases. Prerequisites

- Grammar and morphosyntax 40 hours
Reading and understanding texts 20 hours

- The final exam includes three written tests and an oral test, articulated as follows:
1- a written test of grammatical investigation through transformation exercises, replacement, completion.
2- a short written translation into French, in order to verify a sufficient lexical knowledge and the correct use of verb forms and spatio-temporal indicators. (Warning: this test is not required for students of Communication Sciences)
3- a semi Wizard production and / or release of a reference text
4- an oral exam (can be sustained only after passing the written tests): description and comments of an image / document; presentation of David Foenkinos novel, Charlotte (Gallimard, 2014). Reference texts
