More information and teaching materials will be upload in Google Classroom (code: lpwebpq). Further materials for non-attending students will be provided in the Classroom. Learning assessment procedures
- Students can choose one of this types of assessment:
a) A final examination in an official date, consisting of a written test and an oral exam.
The written test (1h 45m) consists of various grammar exercises (between 5 and 8, different types: complete, transform, correct) and a written composition. This assessment will be about ALL the contents of the manuals and the “dispense” provided by the teacher. The written composition -the description of a picture, a letter, a text about one of the themes proposed, etc.- will have a minimum length of 250 words and must respect the subject required: the morphological and spelling correction, the use of grammatical structures studied during the course and the consistency and cohesion of the text will be evaluated in this part. The use of vocabulary is forbidden. The test will be passed (18/30) if the student shows a sufficient language and lexical proficiency in the written composition, and completes correctly at least 60% of the grammar exercises. During the oral part, the student must be able to present him/herself (hobbies, habits, projects, etc.) and to interact about ALL the stories of the anthology provided.
b) Two partial tests at the end of each semester (generally in mid-December and mid-May) with a final oral exam.
The contents of each part correspond to the grammatical topics studied in the corresponding semester: the first part consists of various grammatical exercises (between 4 and 6, different types: complete, transform, correct) and a written composition with a minimum length of 200 words; the second part consists of various grammar exercises (between 4 and 6, different types: complete, transform, correct) and a written composition with a minimum length of 250 words. The written composition -the description of a picture, a letter, a text about one of the themes proposed, etc.- must respect the subject required: the morphological and spelling correction, the use of grammatical structures studied during the course and the consistency and cohesion of the text will be evaluated in this part. The use of vocabulary is forbidden. During the oral part, the student must be able to present him/herself (hobbies, habits, projects, etc.) and to interact about the stories of the anthology provided.
In order to access the oral examination, the students must pass both partial tests; the test will be passed (18/30) if the student shows a sufficient language proficiency in the written composition, and completes correctly at least 60% of the grammar exercises. If he/she doesn’t pass one of the two partials, he/she will take the final exam. Those who pass the two partials, but are not satisfied with their marks, are allowed to take the final exam in order to improve their marks. In doing so, of course, they will loose the previous marks, obtained in partials, and will get the final exam mark, whatever it is.
