Training objectives
- The Course offers topics in Continuum Mechanics of specialized interest for the study of some biological materials.
Concepts about
- non newtonian fluids, Bingham and micropolar fluids, with application to the study of the blod flow;
- non linear elasticity e constitutive theorie, with applications to the mechanics of blood vessels
are provided. Prerequisites
- The knowledge of the Fundations of Continuum Mechanics and tensor calculus is a prerequisite to attend the Course.
The level of the required knowledge reflects the contents of the Courses 'Equations of Mathematical Physics' for the bachelor's degree in Mathematics, and 'Mathematical Physics I' for the master's degree. Course programme
