Training objectives
- Understanding the basic mechanisms through which we perceive, move, think, and remember. We will try to emphasize that behaviour can be examined at the level of individual nerve cells, by trying to understand their mechanisms of functioning and the way they communicate between themselves.
Prerequisites
- No propedeutic course is required to attend this course However, basic knowledge of the following subjects is expected:
mathematics (logarithms, elements of analysis), chemistry (Nernst equilibrium potential), physics (basic laws of electricity, with special reference to resistors and capacitors), biophysics, molecular biology (membranes and proteins), basic anatomy of the nervous system. Course programme
